# Mid-Level Product Engineer

Mid-Level Product Engineer at Volteras — own and ship features across a live EV data platform. Work full stack with a frontend lean — React, TypeScript, Next.js, and AWS — alongside a small squad at the intersection of product and engineering.

## Responsibilities:

- Own well-scoped features end-to-end — from brief through to shipping in production, with support from senior engineers and product when needed.
- Work within a small squad through structured delivery cycles, contributing to and learning from the delivery process.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Product and senior engineers on roadmap discussions and scoping sessions, bringing an engineering perspective to product decisions.
- Build and maintain features across the full stack, with a frontend lean, using modern web technologies and AWS.
- Flag UX issues early, ask questions when scope feels off, and advocate for the end user.

You will play a hands-on role in scoping and building products at Volteras — an API platform connecting fleet operators, utilities, and insurers to real-time electric vehicle data, scaling globally in a fast-moving market.

As a Mid-Level Product Engineer you will work closely with the Head of Product and senior engineers, sitting at the intersection of product and engineering. You will work within a small squad through structured delivery cycles, taking well-scoped features from brief to production and growing toward owning larger pieces of work independently.

The role is full stack in practice, with a frontend lean — building features across the stack using modern web technologies alongside cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate enjoys building with purpose: energised by writing clean, well-tested code and by understanding the product thinking behind it, with an appetite to grow into greater ownership over time.

## Requirements:

- Full stack engineering experience, comfortable across the entire stack with a natural lean toward frontend.
- Growing experience delivering software features end-to-end — you've shipped meaningful work and are hungry for more ownership.
- Opinionated about product quality — you go beyond pure engineering and take an interest in what you're building and who it's for.
- Confident working with databases, data modelling, and cloud environments (AWS).
- Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, Next.js, Docker, and Git.
- Some exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog is a plus.
